The Mission of the Republic of Albania to the European Union held an important discussion with Strategic Communication experts from the European External Action Service (EEAS) and communication officials from EU Delegations across the Western Balkans.

The meeting served as a valuable platform for exchanging ideas, experiences, and best practices regarding communication on the European Union enlargement process. Discussions focused on the challenges and opportunities for informing citizens about the concrete benefits and strategic importance of this process, both in candidate countries and in EU member states.

Participants underscored the importance of clear, fact-based communication to raise awareness—among citizens of the Western Balkans and European citizens alike—regarding the value of enlargement. A well-informed public is essential for building broader support for a process that contributes to the stability, security, and prosperity of the entire continent.
