The Bank of Albania launches the open contest “Governor’s Award for the Best Diploma Thesis, 2024”. The contest targets Albanian students graduated during the period October 2023 – October 2024, in Albania or abroad. Contestants are invited to submit their thesis on issues related to monetary and international economics, financial stability, European and economic integration of the Balkans, Bank of Albania’s monetary and macro-prudential policies, fiscal policies and their role in the economy, the Albanian banking system, households and enterprises behaviour, as well as other aspects of the economy in general.

Monetary awards will be given to the first, second, and third place winners as follows:

– First Prize: 250,000 ALL
– Second Prize: 200,000 ALL
– Third Prize: 150,000 ALL

Students who wish to apply for the Award must submit the following documents electronically (in PDF format) to the email address public@bankofalbania.org:

– A letter expressing the student’s interest in competing for the Award;
– A Curriculum Vitae (CV);
– An abstract and a brief summary of the main findings;
– The name of the thesis supervisor and the respective university/faculty;
– The full version of the thesis.
