The Embassy of the Republic of Albania in Athens extends its heartfelt congratulations to the football team Apolonia FC Athina for their outstanding achievements during the 2024–2025 season.
The Albanian team was crowned champion of the “Anexartitos” Cup, finishing the season with an impressive 11-point lead over the second place, after 34 matches—recording 33 wins and only one draw.
Furthermore, Apolonia FC also won the Athens Cup, a competition that included over 60 teams from four different divisions, demonstrating the team’s high level of quality, dedication, and teamwork.
With more than 20 years of presence, Apolonia FC has managed to win 19 cups and 7 league championships, as well as numerous individual awards for best players and top scorers of the season. The team has become a symbol of pride for the Albanian community in Greece, which once again showed massive support and enthusiasm for its beloved team.
During the trophy ceremony at the Cup final, the representative of the Albanian Embassy, Ms. Joana Zhonga, in her congratulatory remarks, praised the athletes for their success and, above all, for their dedication, passion, and the positive example they set for the younger generation.
Warm congratulations go to coach Mr. Benard Veliu for his many years of successful leadership of the team, to the President of Apolonia FC, Mr. Andon Caco, for his unwavering support and commitment to the club, and to all the players for their outstanding performance.
Congratulations are also extended to the organizers for a remarkable and well-coordinated championship.
