The 6th edition of the Albanian Gastronomy Festival was successfully held at the premises of New York College in Athens. The event was organized by the Albanian Women’s Association in Greece (Σύνδεσμος Αλβανίδων Γυναικών στην Ελλάδα), chaired by Ms. Agapi Gjika, in cooperation with the Albanian Community in Greece, chaired by Ms. Rovena Xhori, under the auspices and with the special support of the Embassy of the Republic of Albania in Greece.
The festival brought together members of the Albanian community and numerous international guests in a vibrant atmosphere celebrating Albanian culture, traditions and heritage. Visitors had the opportunity to experience traditional Albanian cuisine, artisanal products and handicrafts, traditional costumes, as well as a cultural programme featuring Albanian songs and folk dances.

In her opening remarks, the Ambassador of the Republic of Albania to Greece, Ms. Luela Hajdaraga, underscored the importance of cultural activities in preserving and promoting Albanian identity within the diaspora, while reaffirming the Embassy’s commitment to supporting initiatives that strengthen the ties between the Albanian community and the host country.
The event was also attended by the Head of the Kosovo Interests Office in Greece, Mr. Fitim Gllareva, Member of the Coordination Council of the Diaspora, Ms. Ira Londo, as well as representatives of Albanian associations from across Greece.

The Embassy extends its appreciation to the Albanian Women’s Association in Greece, the Albanian Community in Greece, the participating Albanian associations, Albanian women who contributed with dedication to the promotion of Albanian traditions and gastronomy, as well as Albanian women entrepreneurs recognised for their contribution in the field of gastronomy.
