The Embassy of the Republic of Albania in Greece, in cooperation with the Vëllazërimi Association, hosted an event dedicated to the book “Thinking as a European” (“Mendoj si Europian”) by Professor of Philosophy, Prof. Dr. Agim Leka.
The event brought together diplomats, intellectuals, academics, researchers and representatives of the Albanian community in Athens. Among the attendees was Mr. Fitim Gllareva, Head of the Interests Office of the Republic of Kosovo in Greece.

During the discussion, Prof. Dr. Agim Leka presented the central ideas of his work, exploring Europe not only as a geographical and political space, but also as a community of values rooted in dialogue, critical thinking, tolerance and mutual respect.

Speakers Pjerin Lleshi and Niko Curri highlighted the book’s contribution to fostering a deeper understanding of national history and encouraging reflection on the values that shape identity and citizenship.
Minister Counsellor Eliverta Radomi, who moderated the event, emphasised that embracing European values is an ongoing process of development, grounded in education, individual responsibility, effective institutions and a strong civic culture.

The event provided a valuable platform for dialogue and the exchange of perspectives on the role of education, philosophy and culture in fostering European thought and strengthening shared values.
