On 10 August 2026, the Head of the Embassy of the Republic of Albania in Jakarta, Mr. Nikson Ballço, held a meeting with the Director of Public Diplomacy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, Ms. Ani Nigeriawati.
The meeting took place in a warm and constructive atmosphere and formed part of the Embassy’s ongoing efforts to strengthen relations with key Indonesian institutions and stakeholders. Discussions focused on the important role of public diplomacy in fostering mutual understanding, promoting cultural exchange, and enhancing people-to-people connections between Albania and Indonesia.
Mr. Ballço and Ms. Nigeriawati exchanged views on opportunities to increase the visibility of Albania in Indonesia through cultural, educational, and public outreach initiatives. The discussion also highlighted the value of public diplomacy as a means of bringing societies closer together and creating a stronger foundation for long-term bilateral cooperation.
As Albania’s first resident diplomatic mission in Indonesia and Southeast Asia, the Embassy remains committed to expanding its engagement with the Indonesian public and promoting greater awareness of Albania’s culture, tourism potential, economic opportunities, and shared values.
The meeting reaffirmed the shared commitment of both sides to strengthening friendship and cooperation between Albania and Indonesia through dialogue, cultural exchange, and meaningful public engagement.
