@kuwaittimes Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama has appointed an artificial intelligence–generated “minister” to spearhead his government’s anti-corruption drive.
The AI system, named Diella — meaning “sun” in Albanian — was unveiled as a virtual cabinet member tasked with ensuring that public tenders are “100 percent free of corruption.”
Public procurement has long been seen as a major source of graft in Albania, a Balkan nation of 2.8 million people that is seeking European Union membership.
