14/10/2020 - The Acting Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Gent Cakaj, ends his official visit to Malta with a series of meetings, including a meeting with the Member of the Maltese Parliament and the Coordinator of the Prime Minister’s Office, Glenn Bedingfield, with the Minister within the office of the Prime Minister, Carmelo Abela, as well as with the Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Parliament of Malta, Anġlu Farrugia.
Via a Facebook post, Chief Diplomat Cakaj expressed his gratitude to Malta for the support given to Albania for the opening of EU accession talks and the candidacy for a non-permanent seat in the Security Council 2022-2023.
Cakaj also expressed readiness and commitment to conclude a series of bilateral agreements soon, to strengthen cooperation in the field of culture, diplomacy and economy, between Albania and Malta.
