06/07/2020 - The Acting Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Gent Cakaj, is paying an official visit to Slovenia, during which he had a meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Slovenia, Anže Logar.
The meeting focused on the importance of further deepening of cooperation in the fields of economy, education and tourism. Also, during the meeting, the counterparts stressed the need to continue reforms as part of the process of membership in the European Union, and positively assessed the cooperation of the two countries within the OSCE.
“Gratitude to Slovenia for the support given to Albania in the process of reconstruction after the tragic earthquake and the pandemic COVID-19.” – stated Chief Diplomat Cakaj during the press conference, after the meeting.
