The Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Olta Xhaçka, and the U.S. Ambassador in Albania, Yuri Kim, inspected today the premises of "Qyteti Studenti", to see closely the housing conditions of 300 Afghan citizens who have arrived the last days in Albania.
Via a post on Twitter, Xhaçka says that many partners and international organizations are joining every day this great humanitarian operation and that we feel proud of the Albanian hospitality.
"607 Afghan citizens, men, women and children have found a safe shelter in Albania today. Today with Ambassador Kim we visited families accommodated for 3 days in "Qyteti Studenti", while many others are settled in Durrës and Lezha. "Many partners and international organizations are joining every day this humanitarian mission. Feeling proud of Albanian hospitality"- wrote the minister in her post.
So far in Albania have arrived 607 Afghan citizens. Some are sheltered in Durrës, some in Shëngjin and others in "Qyteti Studenti" dormitories.
