During her stay in New York, the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Olta Xhaçka, held a meeting with the U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, Linda Thomas-Greenfield. 
Ambassador Greenfield valued the humanitarian support that Albania has provided to Afghan citizens, as well as ensured cooperation with an ally and valuable partner like Albania, during our country's mandate in the UN Security Council. 
"A great meeting today with the U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, Linda Greenfield. Substantial and fruitful conversation on a range of issues being worked on closely by our two countries. Looking forward to deepening cooperation with our friends and strategic partners during Albania's mandate in the United Nations Security Council", said Minister Xhaçka after the meeting.
