The Honorary Consulate of Albania in the Sultanate of Oman has been opened
 
Mr. Abdullah Ahmed Sulaiman Al-Hadi is the new Honorary Consul of the Republic of Albania in the Sultanate of Oman and from the beginning of January 2019, the Honorary Consulate in Oman has officially started its activity, serving the citizens of Albania that are worked in the Sultanate of Oman. The consular district includes the entire territory of the Sultanate of Oman with the office of the Honorary Consulate in Muscat.

Ambassador Sami Shiba, also referring to the request of the Republic of Kosovo, for membership in INTERPOL, after the hesitation of Oman, held a meeting with the Ambassador of Sultanate of Oman in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Dr. Sayyid Ahmad bin Hilal bin Saud al Busaidy, who urged Oman to vote for Kosovo's membership in INTERPOL.

The Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs aligns itself with the position of the European Union and strongly condemns the recent missile attack on cities of Saudi Arabia.

These actions undermine the regional and international security, constituting at the same time a flagrant violation of international law.

Albania – a top tourist destination to visit in 2018
 
Albania has renewed a visa-free travel scheme for nationals of Gulf countries in a bid to boost the number of tourists from the region.
 
“The citizens of Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Oman and Qatar can enter Albania without a visa from 01 April 2018 to 31 October 2018,” said Albanian Ambassador Sami Shiba in Riyadh to Arab Weeks Days.
