Minister Bushati meets Assistant Secretary for European and Eurasian Affairs Wess Mitchell
 
02 December 2017, Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Ditmir Bushati, hold a meeting with the Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs, Wess Mitchell, at the US State Department.
The interlocutors praised the excellent relations between the two countries and expressed their commitment to further intensify cooperation in all areas of mutual interest.
Assistant Secretary Mitchell praised Albania's contribution to NATO and the coalition for victory over ISIS. He also acknowledged its contribution to promoting and maintaining stability in the region. He congratulated the Albanian Government on its efforts to implement reforms, on the fight against corruption and organized crime.
Minister Bushati, expressed his gratitude for the continued assistance and support of the US. He thanked Assistant Secretary Mitchell as well, for the contribution of the American Administration to the development of relations between the two countries. He affirmed Albania’s commitment to be a firm partner alongside the US.
