Acting Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Gent Cakaj, while in an official visit in North Macedonia held today a meeting with the Prime Minister Zoran Zaev.
Discussions focused on the Prespa Agreement and the Approval of the Law on Languages, which is considered a historical achievement that opens the way for North Macedonia towards the achievement of strategic goals, especially in terms of EU integration as well as for the peace, security and prosperity of the country.
Special attention was paid to the strengthening of the bilateral relations between two countries, within the framework of the joint mechanism of the two governments and the commitments undertaken with regard to regional cooperation.
Minister Cakaj expressed the readiness and the support of Albania to deepen and further expand bilateral cooperation, in particular, the continuous support that Albania offers for the finalization of the full NATO membership of North Macedonia and joint action for the opening of EU negotiations.
