July 2 and 3, 2024, with decision of Council of Ministers of the Republic of Albania are declared national mourning days, on the occasion of the passing of Ismail Kadare, distinguished personality of Albanian and international literature.
At 13.00 on July 3, 2024, a minute of silence will be held in his honor. A book of condolences will be open on July 3, 2024, at the premises of Embassy of the Republic of Albania in Bratislava (Ventúrska 277/16, 811 01), from 10.00 – 12.00 and from 14.00 to 16.00.
