During the visit to Montenegro, Acting Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Gent Cakaj, also held a meeting with all the representatives of the Albanian political factor in the neighboring country.
Acting Minister stopped to hold bilateral meetings with the Chairman of the National Council of Albanians, Faik Nika, Chairman of the Forca Party, Nazif Cungu, Head of the Albanian Democratic Union, Mehmet Zenka, Head of the Albanian Alternative, Nik Gjeloshaj, Chairman of the Democratic League, Nikolla Camaj, Democratic Party Chairman, Fatmir Gjeka, Chairman of the Democratic League of Montenegro, Saubih Mehmeti, and Head of the Perspective Amir Hollaj.
During their meeting, Minister Cakaj underlined the constructive and active role of the Albanian political factor in Montenegro in the Euro-Atlantic integration processes, which is very important both for the Albanians themselves and for the future of Montenegro.
Among other things, Acting Minister Cakaj, referring to the good result of the coalition “Malësia bring us together” for the local elections in the new municipality of Tuz, stressed the extraordinary importance of further unification of the entire Albanian political spectrum in Montenegro.
“The example of Tuzi speaks better than any other rhetoric about the need for unification of Albanians to foster their further economic development, improvement of their livelihoods, their better representation in central and local institutions, and the achievement of several standards in education, preservation of Albanian language, culture and traditions of Albanians in Montenegro “- said the Albanian Diplomat in the meeting with the Albanian parties of Montenegro.
In the meeting with the Albanian political factor, special importance was given to cross-border cooperation and development of areas on both sides of the border, in order to enable development programs.
