On 27 January, President Borut Pahor and Prime Minister Miro Cerar hosted the diplomatic corps accredited in the Republic of Slovenia. They both highlighted the current migration crisis, urging a unified approach to addressing the Syrian crisis, terrorism prevention, etc. President Borut Pahor stressed among other topics the situation in the Western Balkans bringing to the attention of participants the importance of this region. He emphasised that “Slovenia and Croatia, both members of the European Union and NATO, will make efforts together for the Brdo-Brijuni process to continue successfully... This way, Slovenia and Croatia will act responsibly to help the European Union and international community so the Western Balkans do not become yet another hotbed of conflicts and tensions. I am glad that Slovenia and Croatia continue to cooperate successfully in the joint initiative.”
