
Ambassador of the Republic of Albania to the UK, Qirjako Qirko, conducted a formal hearing in the premises of the British Parliament with the members of the Albanian All Party Parliamentarian Group (AAPG). Ambassador Qirko informed the participants about the latest developments in the process of European integration, as well as in regard to the Albania's role as a factor of peace and stability in the region, including its contribution to the issues of global security as a NATO member, cooperation between countries in the region and relations with neighbors.
The presentation was followed with great interest by the audience, who demanded to know more about the role of third factors in the region, tourism development and its share in the domestic economy, the role of the Albanian factor in the region, Albanian viewpoint regarding Brexit and its effect on the Western Balkans, etc.
In conclusion, MP Madelaine Moon, Chairman of AAPG, thanked Ambassador Qirko for his presentation and information provided, praised the decisive role that Albania plays in the Western Balkan region in supporting peace and stability, the contribution of Albania as a NATO member and the government of Albania for its contribution towards Euro-Atlantic integration of the region.
