The Embassy in Prague organized a festive reception on the occasion of the 111th Anniversary of Independence Day and Flag Day at the Kaiserštejnský Palác in the center of Prague. The reception was attended by representatives of the Government, senior representatives of the President’s Office, deputies of the House of Representatives and senators, ambassadors and representatives of the diplomatic corps, representatives of the entire Albanian community in the Czech Republic, as well as friends and well-wishers of Albania.
The party was opened by Ambassador Kuka, who invited the participants to listen to the National Anthems of Albania and the Czech Republic performed by the Music Band of the Ministry of Defense of the Czech Republic, to continue with the welcome speech.
He stopped and pointed out the European values ​​of Albania and the most important achievements of the country in terms of foreign policy over the last few years, as well as the positive developments that have been increasingly recognized in recent years in the relations between Albania and the Czech Republic. both in terms of the political level, as well as commercial and touristic exchanges. The number of Czech tourists who visited Albania for the first 8 months of 2023 was 44.3% higher than the number of Czech tourists in the whole year 2022. This is an indicator that the bridges of cooperation and contacts between people are becoming more and more familiar positive trend.
The party was accompanied by the sounds of music played by the Albanian pianist, who has been living and working in Prague for years, Mr. Egli Prifti as well as the Czech soprano, Mrs. Klára Boudalová, who performed songs in Albanian such as “Lule Bore”, “Rjedh ne kanze e lježrime”, “O e buka More” etc. After the speeches and the musical program, the guests had the opportunity to try traditional Albanian foods, which were widely appreciated by those present for their variety and tastes, accompanied by music and dance from the Albanian regions.
