The Ministry of Foreign Affairs welcomes and applauds the decision of the Court of Colmar, France, for the release of Ramush Haradinaj, discharging him from all accusations filed by Serbian authorities. In this regard, the French court confirms previous decisions of the two levels of the International Court for former Yugoslavia, which declared Mr. Haradinaj innocent.
Minister Bushati welcomed the French court's decision and conveyed fraternal greetings to all the people of Kosovo by stating: “Justice may arrive late but never forgets! Welcome back home Ramush Haradinaj!”.
MFA considers the decision a victory of truth and justice against all baseless and politically motivated accusations, which, since the very beginning have sought to smear a political and public authority, to destabilize the state of Kosovo, and to equate the efforts of the people of Kosovo and the UÇK for freedom and self-control from the monstrous crimes of Milosevic's regime.
MFA reiterates its position that Serbia should give up the use of arrest warrants as a form of pressure on Kosovo.
MFA believes that the region's advancement in Euro-Atlantic processes is founded on strengthening cooperation and good neighborhood policy for which Albania has been and remains fully engaged.
Kosovo state is an inalienable reality. Fraternal relations between Albania and Kosovo are stabilizers for the region and orientating our common European future
