The National Council of European Integration meeting, Minister Xhaçka: The European Commission’s positive report is an impetus to make our membership in the EU a reality as soon as possible

The Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Olta Xhaçka, spoke about the European Commission report on Albania at the meeting of the National Council for European Integration.
Minister Xhaçka emphasized that the report recognizes the great work that has been done and confirms Albania’s progress in its journey towards European integration.
“What stands out in this report is the evaluation of Albania’s role as an active and reliable partner of the EU, with a foreign policy that is based on European values and fully aligned with the EU’s restrictive statements and decisions within the common foreign and security policy. We see the way forward, we know our tasks. It will be a difficult road, but we must be together in this process. Our common obligation is to make our EU membership a reality as soon as possible”, she said.
The European Commission’s report on Albania 2022, which was published on October 13, is a working document that, after identifying achievements, defines the areas where joint work and dialogue with the European Commission will be focused in the coming weeks and months.
