Within the framework of the Delphi Economic Forum, a wide-ranging programme of high-level meetings took place with the participation of Prime Minister Edi Rama, the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Mr. Ferit Hoxha, the Minister of Economy and Innovation, Ms. Delina Ibrahimaj, the Chief Executive Officer of the Albanian Investment Corporation, Ms. Elira Kokona, as well as their respective delegations.
The focus of the agenda was the strengthening of Albanian–Greek relations, underpinned by a renewed spirit of cooperation and mutual trust.
In this context, at the invitation of the Prime Minister of Greece, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, a meeting was held at the Maximos Mansion with Prime Minister Edi Rama. The meeting reaffirmed the shared commitment to advancing a strategic partnership and constructively addressing outstanding issues between the two countries.

In the same spirit, the meeting in Delphi between the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Mr. Ferit Hoxha, and his Greek counterpart, Mr. Giorgos Gerapetritis, marked an important step in deepening political dialogue and enhancing cooperation in key priority areas, including energy, infrastructure, and tourism.
The exchange between Prime Minister Edi Rama and the Editor-in-Chief of Kathimerini, Mr. Alexis Papachelas, as well as Minister Hoxha’s participation in the ministerial session and panels of the Forum, highlighted Albania’s strategic priorities and those of the wider region.
In this context, the significance of the Delphi Declaration 2026 and its adoption by participating ministers and representatives is underscored. The Declaration supports the acceleration of accession negotiations for candidate countries, including Albania, and reflects the European Union’s renewed commitment to enlargement with a horizon of 2030.

Minister Ferit Hoxha also held a substantive meeting with the Commissioner for Enlargement, Ms. Marta Kos, emphasizing the need for continued coordination and sustained momentum in advancing Albania’s EU accession path.
The agenda was further enriched by bilateral meetings with senior representatives of partner countries. It also included an important economic and public diplomacy dimension through two dedicated roundtables organised by the Embassy of the Republic of Albania in Greece, in cooperation with the Hellenic Foundation for European and Foreign Policy (ELIAMEP) and the Hellenic Entrepreneurs Association (EENE), in partnership with Fortune Greece.
Discussions with academics, policy experts, and business representatives contributed to deepening dialogue on regional developments, the European integration process, and the further strengthening of economic cooperation between Albania and Greece.
A key milestone was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Albanian Investment Corporation and Growthfund Greece, supported by the Embassy of the Republic of Albania in Greece. This agreement opens new perspectives for enhanced economic cooperation and joint strategic projects.
