On 17 April 2026, the Embassy of the Republic of Albania in Athens hosted the photographic exhibition of artist Saimir Ahmeti, organised in cooperation with the “Myzeqeja” Association of Fier in Greece.
The exhibition offered attendees a sensitive and contemporary artistic reflection on the life and role of Albanian women, highlighting their significant and irreplaceable contribution to society. Through an aesthetic and narrative approach, the exhibited works explored social and human dimensions that encourage reflection and awareness.

The event was attended by artists, art enthusiasts, and representatives of the Albanian diaspora community, contributing to a warm, collaborative, and inclusive atmosphere.
Through the language of photography, the artist conveyed authentic stories and profound emotions, which were highly appreciated for their realism, sensitivity, and strong social message.
The artistic programme was further enriched by elements of Myzeqe folk tradition. Singer Brunilda Sota Hoxha, accompanied by saxophonist Rik Hoxha, delivered a distinctive performance for the audience. The event continued with a performance of the Myzeqe two-person traditional dance, an important element of Albanian cultural heritage, which is currently being considered for inclusion on the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

The Embassy of the Republic of Albania remains committed to the preservation and promotion of Albanian cultural heritage within the diaspora, as well as to fostering cooperation among Albanian artists, bringing their creativity and achievements closer to the public and strengthening national identity beyond borders.
