In a refined literary atmosphere and in a spirit of cultural dialogue, the book “Born Backwards” (“Αναποδογεννημένη”) by Rita Petro was successfully presented in Athens at Black Duck, a cultural venue hosting artistic and intellectual events. The event was organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Albania in Greece, in cooperation with the publishing houses “Bythebook” and “ALBAS”.
The work, translated into Greek by Nikos Kacalidhas, offers an intimate and reflective exploration of identity, memory and human relationships. The event gathered members of the diplomatic corps, publishers, artists and literature enthusiasts from both the Albanian and Greek communities. Among those present were the Head of the Kosovo Interests Office in Greece, Mr. Fitim Gllareva, as well as the Director of the publishing house “By the Book”, Ms. Meri Thermioti.

In her address, Ambassador Hajdaraga emphasized the importance of promoting Albanian literature abroad, describing it as a meaningful bridge for strengthening cultural dialogue and fostering closer ties between peoples.
A distinctive moment of the evening was the artistic reading of selected excerpts from the book by actress Algiona Aga and journalist Ira Londo, which brought a vivid and emotional dimension to the work.

During an open discussion with the audience, Rita Petro shared the inspiration and emotional depth behind the book, underlining writing as a process of liberation and self-discovery.
The event constituted an important platform for cultural exchange, bringing together diplomats, artists and readers in an atmosphere of dialogue and mutual understanding between Albania and Greece.
