The Minister of Defence of the Republic of Albania, Mr. Ermal Nufi, welcomed in Tirana the Minister of National Defence of the Hellenic Republic, Mr. Nikos Dendias, in the framework of an official visit of particular importance for strengthening the strategic cooperation between the two countries.

During their meeting, the two sides discussed coordination within NATO, geopolitical developments in the region, security in the Eastern Mediterranean, as well as the expansion of cooperation in the fields of defence, cybersecurity and the addressing of emerging strategic challenges.
As part of the visit, the Greek Minister of National Defence was also received by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Albania, Mr. Edi Rama. The discussions reaffirmed the importance of the Albania-Greece partnership in contributing to regional stability, security and the European perspective of the region.

The Ambassador of the Republic of Albania to Greece, Ms. Luela Hajdaraga, was also present at these meetings.
The visit confirmed the high level of relations between Albania and Greece, as NATO Allies and important partners for peace, security and stability in the region.
