Today I spoke with the Foreign Minister of Kuwait, H.H. Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah.

#Albania strongly condemns Iran’s attacks against #Kuwait, which constitute a clear violation of international law, a violation of Kuwait’s sovereignty and pose serious threats to the security of its people, the country’s economy and to regional and global peace. Albania stands in full solidarity with Kuwait against any destabilizing action.

I reiterated our unwavering support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Kuwait – a fundamental principle of Albania’s foreign policy.

I also confirmed that Albania will co-sponsor the UN Security Council draft resolution circulated by the GCC Member States condemning Iran’s attacks against Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Jordan, and calling for their immediate cessation.

I expressed our gratitude to the Kuwaiti authorities for the extraordinary care and support they have provided to #Albanian citizens in Kuwait during these difficult and challenging times.
