On 8 October 2021, the Deputy Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Mrs. Megi Fino attended the Security Council meeting in the Arria-Formula for the "Situation in Belarus".
On September 23, 2021, Ambassador Mrs. Shpresa Kureta participated in the meeting organized by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense of Latvia, Artis Pabriks with the Ambassadors of NATO and EU member states and Partner countries, to discuss current issues of regional security. During the meeting, they discussed the Russian-Belarusian military exercise "Zapad 2021", the crisis of illegal immigration at the EU external borders in Latvia, Lithuania and Poland, the situation in Belarus, as well as future cooperation between NATO and EU allies.
The Secretary General of the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Armand Skapi, represented Albania at the meeting of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Group of Visegrad 4 and the Wester Balkans 6. Skapi praised the support of the Visegrad Group for the opening of negotiations for Albania and Northern Macedonia, while expressing confidence that these negotiations will be opened during the Slovenian Presidency.
