Gazmend Barbullushi, Ambassador of Albania to the Kingdom of Spain (resident) and Ambassador to the Principality of Andorra, the Islamic Republic of Mauritania and the Kingdom of Morocco (non-resident)
Gazmend Barbullushi, Ambassador of Albania to the Kingdom of Spain, since August 2019, joined the Foreign Service of Albania 1992.
Abroad he served as a carrier diplomat in Bonn and Berlin, Germany, in Vienna, Austria, and in Ljubljana, Slovenia. In 2009 he was Ambassador of Albania to the Kingdom of The Netherlands and Permanent Representative to Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW), The Hague.
In his previous Headquarters’ assignments, the Ambassador served as Head of Consular Section, Director of Consular Department and Director General for Legal and Consular Affairs. Before being accredited to the Kingdom of Spain he was Secretary General of the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs.
The Ambassador is appointed, as non-resident Ambassador, to the Principality of Andorra, the Islamic Republic of Mauritania and the Kingdom of Morocco.
He is born 8 March 1964, in Tirana, is married and has a son.
He speaks fluently English, German and basic Dutch and Spanish.
