As well as in the previous years, on the December 15th, 2020, in the NATO airbase in Torrejon of Spain, was held the ceremony of the Day of Albania on the occasion of 108th anniversary of the independence. The Ambassador of the Republic of Albania in Madrid, HE Mr. Gazmend Barbullushi, was the guest of honour and was received by the base Commander, HE GLT Fernando de la Cruz, and accompanied by Cap. Anton Millja. In the presence of the military unit, composed from representatives of all the Alliance member countries,was played the National Anthem and was raised the Flag of Albania.
In his addressing speech, the Ambassador underlined the strong commitment of Albania being a member of the Alliance and its role as security provider in the region and broader. This pandemic year has been very tough for everybody, expressed the Ambassador, but showed more than ever that we stand closer to each other and in full solidarity.
