“We are strengthening the Albanian passport,” Minister Hasani stated, announcing the establishment of three new diplomatic representations in Kenya, India, and Indonesia.

Albania will soon bolster its passport worldwide with diplomatic representations in Kenya, India, and Indonesia.
The news was announced by Minister Igli Hasani, Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, who emphasized that the recent Council of Ministers meeting approved the opening of embassies in these countries. This decision was driven by medium and long-term strategic objectives, spurred by continuous demand, to enhance effectiveness in international relations.
According to him, the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs initiated this move, appreciating each country’s contribution and specific weight in the international arena, along with Albania’s increasingly significant role in international bodies.
Minister Hasani highlighted that tourism and expanding the map of movement for Albanian citizens for tourist purposes are additional reasons MEPJ relies on for proposing the opening of three new representations.
Following today’s decision, the number of Albanian representations worldwide increases to 60, comprising 44 embassies, 7 general consulates, and 9 permanent missions.
