Estonia, Minister Hasani: NATO stronger after Putin’s aggression in Ukraine

After Strasbourg, the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Igli Hasani traveled to Estonia, to participate in the international conference “Lennart Meri” that was held in the capital of Estonia, Tallinn.

In the panel attended by the Prime Minister of Estonia, Kaja Kallas and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Dmytro Kuleba (online), Minister Hasani emphasized that Russian aggression in Ukraine continues to remain the most critical threat to peace and security on the European continent and beyond.

Albania continues to maintain a clear and steadfast position in defense of the territorial integrity, sovereignty, and independence of Ukraine, in accordance with the position of the EU, NATO and the USA.

“Albania actively supports the efforts and initiatives undertaken to ensure full accountability for the most serious crimes under international law committed in Ukraine.

By standing by Ukraine, Albania is supporting it politically, economically, and militarily, until the achievement of a just and lasting peace,” he said.

Asked about Russia’s role in world security, Minister Hasani said that the only winner in these turbulent times is NATO, the alliance of values and nations that love peace and respect people’s rights.

During his 24-hour stay in Tallinn, Minister Hasani was met by Prime Minister Kallas, his Estonian counterpart Margus Tsahkna and the head of the Foreign Policy Committee in the Estonian Parliament, where he expressed his gratitude for Estonia’s continuous support for the integration process in the EU of Albania and the Western Balkans.
