The Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Igli Hasani, starts official visits to Sweden and Finland tomorrow at the invitation of their respective counterparts. In Stockholm, Minister Hasani will be received by his Swedish counterpart Tobias Billström, Head of the Swedish Parliament Andreas Norlén and Minister for European Union Affairs, Jessika Roswall.
During his two-day stay in Stockholm, Minister Hasani will have meetings with interest groups and Swedish agencies focused on trade and investment.
Sweden and Albania share the same values and attitudes regarding EU expansion, the integration of the Western Balkans and regional cooperation, Russian aggression against Ukraine and support for the latter, and starting from March of this year they will also cooperate closely as an ally in NATO.
On June 12 and 13, 2024, Minister Hasani will stay in Finland, where he will have meetings with President Alexander Stubb, counterpart Elina Valtonen, as well as the Minister for EU and Property Management, Anders Adlercreutz.
He will visit the European Center for Hybrid Threats in Helsinki and will meet with the Albania-Finland friendship parliamentary group.
Cooperation in the economy and tourism sector, Finland’s support for Albania’s EU integration process, support for Ukraine, as well as cooperation within NATO and the OSCE chairmanship for 2025, are some of the topics expected to be discussed during the meetings of Minister Hasani.
