During a visit to Brussels, Albania’s Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Ferit Hoxha, met with representatives of the Albanian diaspora, highlighting their role as a vital force and a living connection to the homeland.
The Embassy of the Republic of Albania in Belgium organized a dedicated event to recognize the work of Albanian language teachers in the diaspora. The initiative highlighted their continuous efforts to preserve the Albanian language, promote cultural identity, and strengthen the connection of younger generations with their roots.
Through their commitment, patience, and dedication, these teachers play a fundamental role in transmitting the Albanian language, history, and traditions, contributing to the preservation of national identity within Albanian communities abroad.
Minister Hoxha expressed his appreciation to both teachers and parents for their ongoing engagement, emphasizing that their contribution ensures the Albanian language remains vibrant and is passed on to future generations beyond national borders.
The Diaspora Summit, under the motto “Through Roots We Rise,” scheduled for 14–15 April 2026 in Tirana, is expected to serve as an important platform for dialogue and cooperation, aimed at further strengthening efforts to preserve and promote Albania’s linguistic, cultural, and spiritual heritage.
