28 citizens from Albania and Kosova, who traveled to the Middle East last week for work and tourism, are now safe.
The Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Igli Hasani, informed the media that through continuous coordination with the Embassies of the Republic of Albania in Israel and Egypt, the operation to return Albanian citizens home, whose flights were canceled due to the tense situation in the region, was succesful.
“10 students studying in international schools in Israel, 7 of whom are from Albania and 3 from Kosova, along with 5 employees of the Ministry of Tourism and their families, have arrived in Cyprus. Today in the evening, 15 citizens who departed from Tel Aviv will travel to Tirana and Pristina,” stated the Albanian chief diplomat, who thanked the diplomats of MEFA for the assistance provided during these days.
Meanwhile, the Albanian Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs continues the negotiations for the return of two other citizens.
Additionally, 13 Albanian tourists left Jordan last night and are now back home.
