
The conference: “Historical and Diplomatic Relations between Albania and France since 1912” took place at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs today. It was the outcome of an excellent collaboration of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the French Embassy accredited in Tirana.
The conference focused on relations between the two countries in over a century. Addresses by personalities in the fields of history, culture, diplomacy and the academic realm brought a full picture of the progress of relations between the two countries, starting with the establishment of the Republic of Korça till today, where relations between the two countries have moved to a strategic level through the signing of the Strategic Partnership Agreement, which covers all areas of bilateral cooperation, during the recent visit of Prime Minister Rama in Paris.
In this context, the conference was followed by a rich exhibition of the two countries’ archives, which reflected the whole framework of bilateral relations, in the cultural, political, educational and diplomatic field.
Furthermore, were exhibited publications of different periods by Albanian and French authors and a documentary on the relations with France, a friendly country and supporter of our country’s path to the European Union was also screened.
The conference was attended by the Minister of Innovation and Public Administration Mirela Harito, Deputy Foreign Minister Odeta Barbullushi, the diplomatic corps, former foreign ministers and personalities of the academic world.
