On March 3, 2025, the official opening ceremony of the world’s largest tourism fair, ITB Berlin 2025, took place in Berlin. It was a night of Albanian pride in the heart of Germany, where Albania shone for the first time as the Host Country.

The ceremony was attended by the Prime Minister of Albania, Mr. Edi Rama, the Minister of Tourism and Environment, Mrs. Mirela Kumbaro, and the Minister of Economy, Culture, and Innovation, Mr. Blendi Gonxhja.

The evening was dedicated to Albania, with over 3,000 tour operators, investors, journalists, and officials enjoying Albania through breathtaking footage and an artistic performance by the National Theatre of Opera and Ballet and the Folk Ensemble. This opened the curtain on three days filled with meetings, events, and surprises at ITB Berlin 2025.
