On 27 June 2025, the Eberswalde University for Sustainable Development hosted an inspiring interactive conference on sustainable tourism, organized in partnership with the University of Tirana and the Embassy of the Republic of Albania in Germany.
This event was part of an intercultural research initiative involving master’s students from both universities, focused on exploring how tourism can grow without endangering valuable natural areas.
We highlighted Albania’s unique biodiversity, the impressive growth of its tourism sector, and the need to balance development with environmental responsibility. We emphasised that sustainability should not be seen as a limitation, but as an opportunity for innovation and long-term prosperity.
Sincere thanks to the Rector of the Eberswalde University, Professor Barth, Professor Brözel, professors from Tirana, and especially the German and Albanian students for organizing such an insightful and forward-looking conference. Your dedication and ideas are an inspiring contribution to the future of sustainable tourism.
