The Chairman of the Parliamentary Group of the Socialist Party, Mr. Taulant Balla, accompanied by the Ambassador of the Republic of Albania in Athens, Mrs. Luela Hajdaraga, participated in the 24th International Symposium in Symi with the main theme: “CRISIS Peace and Democracy at Stake Our Common Challenge to Design Effective Responses”, organized by former Prime Minister George Papandreou in order to exchange views and produce innovative ideas from politicians, intellectuals, scientists, businessmen, leaders of international organizations, activists and writers, from different countries of the world.
Among the topics covered were the effects of the war in Ukraine on energy, food, inflation, health, security, democracy and geopolitical balances.
"The holding of the First Intergovernmental Conference with Albania and North Macedonia next week (July 19-20) is good news," has stressed Mr. Balla during the specific session dedicated to the European perspective of the Balkans.
