The Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Olta Xhaçka, today commemorated the 25th anniversary of the OSCE Presence in Albania.
Through a message on the social network Twitter, the Minister wrote that Albania has evolved from the anarchy of 1997, in a country that successfully held the OSCE Chairmanship in 2020 and currently holds its seat as a non-permanent member of the Council of Security at the UN.
“Albania is grateful to the OSCE for its role in this transformation and for its valuable support in legal, electoral, administrative and property reform, as well as good governance, fight against corruption and capacity building in all areas.”
Minister Xhaçka appreciated the fact this excellent tradition of cooperation is continuing under Ambassador Vincenzo Del Monaco who is going beyond the call of duty to support shared priorities, such as Women, Peace and Security.
