The Albanian-Jewish community in Israel celebrates November 28-29 together with the Embassies of Albania and Kosovo!

The Embassy of the Republic of Albania in Israel together with Felicità Jakoel, President of the Association of the Albanian-Jewish Community organized  on November 27, 2021 the festive activity on the occasion of the 109th anniversary of Independence Day and the 77th anniversary of Liberation Day.

This festive meeting took place in Jaffa, the ancient city Famous for the biblical stories of Jonah, Solomon and Saint Peter.

Flag Day is a holiday that unites Albanians around the world, so on this important national day, we must come together, traveling in retrospect, remembering the historical leaders that made possible the indipendence of Albania, preserving the flag, language and our identity.  Under the sounds of Albanian music, we were honored to have with us the Charge d'Affaires of the State of Kosovo in Israel Ines Demiri and the staff of the Embassy of Kosovo.

On this occasion, Ambassador Bardhyl Canaj praised the importance of the Albanian-Jewish community as a bridge between people and a living proof of the historical role of Albanians in protecting the Jewish people during the Shoah.

Prominent activists of the Albanian-Jewish community in Israel, and the diplomatic staffs of the Embassies of the Republic of Albania and Kosovo in Israel wish all Albanians in Israel and everywhere Happy the Independence Day!
