Measures taken by Israeli Ministry of Health, against CoronaVirus

For those citizens traveling from Italy to Israel, (foreign citizens or italian citizens), Health Ministry of State of Israel has issued several preventive measures. 
The Home Quarantine Decree concerning travelers from Italy is effective immediately.
The Decree is retroactive, meaning that travelers from Italy in the past 14 days - before Thursday February 27 2020, so it is effective as of February 13 2020. Travelers from Italy must be placed under 14-day home quarantine.

City of Korca participates at MUNI EXPO 2020 - Tel Aviv

Albania is participating with a team from Korca City headed by Mr. Sotiraq Filo, Mayor of Korca and MP Niko Peleshi previously Mayor and prefect of Korca and representative of Local Authorities Association of CoE, at the MUNI EXPO 2020.
The annual event of the Local Government Center is the largest gathering of local government in Israel.
Approximately 8,000 senior executives attend the event from 257 municipalities and 400 municipal companies and corporations.

Donors’ Conference for Albania have pledged €1.15 billion in donations, grants and loans

The international community participating in the Donors’ Conference for Albania have pledged €1.15 billion in donations, grants and loans to help the country rebuild from the aftermath of the November 26, 2019 earthquake.
In his opening speech, Prime Minister Rama thanked more than 100 participating countries and international banks in several languages, and asked for their financial assistance to help recovery efforts.

Ambassador Bardhyl Canaj met with UN Special Coordinator for the Peace Process in Middle East, Nikolay Mladenov, in the framework of a working lunch organized by bulgarian Ambassador in Israel Rumiana Bachvarova. In this luncheaon event, first of this kind organized in Israel, were invited all Balkan's Ambassadors accredited in Israel, notably serbian Ambassador Milutin Stanojevic, croatian Ambassador Vesela Mrden Korac,and North Macedonian Charge d'Affaires Aleksandar Avramovski. 

Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between MITVIM/ Israeli Institute for Regional Foreign Policies and European University of Tirana

Today was signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between MITVIM/ Israeli Institute for Regional Foreign Policies and European University of Tirana, aiming to strengthen ties between both institutions, especially on issues related to Conflict Resolution and Peace, Relations with EU, and development in the Mediterranean and Balkans.

Albania hails Israeli engineers helping rebuild after devastating quake

On Monday 9th December, Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama was in the western port city of Durres, encouraging residents to have confidence in the work of the engineers. Durres and northwestern Thumane were the two areas hardest-hit by the quake.
“They are from Israel and they are No. 1,” Rama said to a resident who was hesitant to enter an apartment building. “The engineer says that after the catastrophe you should kiss your home because it has resisted [the quake] and has protected you.”

IDF sends aid mission to earthquake-stricken Albania

Team of reservists and regular soldiers will join international efforts with a focus on surveying buildings to find whether they remained structurally sound after the quake. 
The Israel Defense Forces announced early Tuesday that it had dispatched an aid mission to earthquake-stricken Albania after a devastating temblor last month killed 51 people and destroyed thousands of buildings.
“We just dispatched an IDF humanitarian aid delegation to Albania following the devastating earthquake that took 50+ lives and left thousands injured,” the army tweeted.

Flag at half-mast at Albanian Embassy in Israel

Today, the 27th of November has been declared National Day of Mourning in Albania, in the honor of the victims and families perished by the yesterday devastating earthquake.
Albanian Embassy in Israel, has lowered our flag at half-mast and our hearts are with those who suffered and the affected families, and stand alongside them in this day of grief.
