Ambassador Bardhyl Canaj welcomed in a special meeting, the Chairwoman of the Albanian-Jewish Community and Ambassador of the Nation, as a representative of the Albanian-Jewish community living in Israel, and had the honor to share with her the good news of the publication "Israelis in Albania ", written by her father Josef Jakoel.
This book which is the first of its kind serves as an evidence of the life of Jews in Albania, written by a Jew who has lived and suffered the events of the time describing the role of the Albanian people and the Righteous among Nations in protecting its own Jews but not only during World War II.
Among other things, we discussed the agenda of her next visit to Albania in order to promote this very important publication and to present accordingly.
This book, which is published by Cabej Publishing House, also serves as an example of gratitude and a bridge between our two peoples.
