On 29 October, the Embassy of the Republic of Albania in Brussels hosted a reception attended by the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Elisa Spiropali, together with representatives of the Albanian community in Belgium and Luxembourg.
The event underscored the important role of the Albanian diaspora in the social, academic, and economic life of the countries where they live, with active contributions in public administration, universities, international companies, as well as in arts and culture.
Minister Spiropali commended the commitment and contribution of Albanians abroad, describing them as ambassadors of Albanian values worldwide. She also expressed appreciation for ongoing efforts to preserve and promote the Albanian language across generations, particularly in cities such as Namur, Antwerp, and Brussels.
Through community and educational initiatives, Albanian children in these cities are provided with the opportunity to learn their mother tongue, history, and culture, thereby strengthening their national identity and connection to their roots.
The Albanian diaspora continues to serve as a vital bridge between Albania and European countries, contributing to stronger relations and the promotion of the country’s image on the international stage.
